This is the in-person registration option and the registration deadline is April 13th at 2:00 pm. 


How this course will improve the knowledge of the audience: 

This course will strengthen real estate professionals’ ability to effectively serve the rapidly growing population of older adults by deepening their understanding of aging in place, housing suitability, and the unique needs of clients over age 60. Participants will gain practical knowledge of the demographic and market trends shaping housing demand, including the increasing number of solo agers and the financial influence of older homeowners. 

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 

1.Describe key demographic trends and market factors driving increased demand for aging-in-place housing.

 2.Identify the core features of an aging-ready or “forever” home, including considerations related to livability, safety, location, and long-term maintenance. 

3.Apply practical strategies to better support older buyers and sellers by asking informed questions and connecting clients to appropriate resources.

Instructors: Shelli Fortune and Kate Cotnoir of Missoula Aging Services and Jennifer Prunty with My Glacier Village

Jenn Prunty is an aging-in-place strategist, consultant, and community leader with over a decade of experience helping older adults and families navigate life transitions with clarity and confidence. She is the founder of MT Aging Transitions and the driving force behind My Glacier Village, a community-based organization supporting older adults in aging well at home through community, connection, and education.

Inspired by supporting her own parents through aging-related challenges, Jenn’s work bridges housing, health, and community, shifting the narrative from crisis response to proactive planning. She collaborates with seniors, builders, realtors, nonprofits, and policymakers to advance aging-ready homes, age-friendly businesses, and systems that support independence, dignity, and self-agency. Jenn believes aging is not an individual journey, but community responsibility.

Shelli Fortune, MSW, is the In-Home Services Director at Missoula Aging Services and a master’s-level social worker with over 20 years of experience in aging, dementia care, and community-based service systems. She leads programs focused on helping older adults remain safely housed through in-home assessment, care coordination, home safety interventions, and caregiver support. Her work spans healthcare, veterans’ services, and long-term care planning, with a particular focus on dementia and aging in place. 

Kate Cotnoir joined Missoula Aging Services in 2014. Her background in non-profit program administration, person-centered direct client service and communication makes her a great fit as the Information and Assistance Director. A graduate of Montana State University, Billings, Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication. Kate is passionate about the work of her team at MAS and giving older adults and people with disabilities choices and resources to meet their goals.

Members who register for a CE Class and then simply do not show for the class will be marked as a "no show" and following one initial warning, they will be issued a $10 fee each time they are a no-show.
